| WOW!!!!!!!!! what a trip. you would not believe the kind of trip we had over these last 3 days. it started out with me, steve, danny and carmine heading upstate to the Turning Stone Casino and Resort. we were all excited and couldnt wait to get there. we picked up carmine at 9:45am and started our trip upstate. we figured the trip would take us 4-5 hours...BOY WERE WE WRONG!!! we had the whole trip planned out...we would take I87 until it changed to I90 and take that to Oneida...the town the casino is in. we were on I87 and everything was going smoothly, until we hit exit 25A. we saw a sign that said the Interstate was closed due to flooding and that all cars had to get off at exit 25A. at this point we were freaking out because we didnt know what to do. we didnt nkow any alternate routes to get to the casino. so danny pulls out a travel book with a map of NY state and the roads. we plan to take I88 up to I81 and take that north-bound to I20 and go west to the casino. so we were calm after that...we just had to sit in over 1 and half of traffic because every car had to get off the Interstate at the same exit. so during our delay we played chinese poker and a game called GHOST. its a game where one person says a letter, the next one adds a letter in the sequence of a word, but the object is to not let the last letter or the word land with you or you get a letter, the first one to spell G-H-O-S-T is the loser. after we get off the exit, we are flying down I88 heading toward I81. then we saw a line of traffice lined up at the exit to get to I20...that is where we expected to go, but not that same route, we were gonna go around that traffic and hit I20 later on. so we keep going on I88 and we are crusing along looking foward to getting to the casino relativly close to our expected arrival time. at one point we were going 105mph and doing great. until we hit our next snag in the road. workers have the rest of I88 blocked off saying that it was flooded and we had to exit. we were all like "omg, not again, how could this happen" so we are forced to get off and we start looking at the map again. we figure out that I7 goes close to where we need to be and that we can take another road up to the casino. so we go up to I7 and the state troopers tell us that I7 is closed because of floods and so if I5, which was another one of our routes that we could have taken. so we are forced to find yet another way to get to the casino. so we drive along and make it to a town. we ask this guy and his dog where to go and they give us directions as far as they know, and we are on our own from there. so we are traveling through all these hick towns. finding new ways to get around and talking to so many people asking for directions. we were laughing and having a good time, making jokes and laughing at the hick towns and there small "main streets" lol. the flooding even reached the towns, we saw people's backyards flooded and ever a whole parking lot was under water, it was crazy. we went trough so many towns...towns like, Unidilla, Mount Upton, Sydney, Gilbertsville, Oxford, just to name a few. we taked to alteast a dozen people asking for directions. we finally find some hope and find a road that may lead us close to the casino, but we run into another closed road. steve gets out of the car by himself and talks to one of the constrction workers. at this point we all thought our trip was over and we were either heading home or to a motel to spend the night until the next day. steve comes back with some good news that the guy said there is a way to get to the next town. so we start driving and we find ourselves faced with a huge puddle of water in the middle of the road...more like a small lake. we make the decision to go thru it with the car. things are starting to look up for us, really really up...we were all excited to finally make it to the casino. once we make it to the next town we see the same sign we have seen all day long...ROAD CLOSED. we were so dejected after this that we just sat in the car for five minutes thinking of what we should do. at this point we all knew our trip was done for. so we all get out of the car and look at the road closed sign in pure and utter disbelief...after all this traveling and driving it was over, we were done. until carmine suggests that maybe we could bypass the flood. we say the flood and it was a very plausable idea. so we ask the next lady that stopped at the red light we were at. she starts giving us directions and tells us to go past the Oneida Castle to the church and go down Classic Street and make a left. while she was giving us directions, the light turned green and the cars behind her began honking at her. she starts screaming and cursing at them...we all had a good laugh at this. so we jump back in the car and follow the lady's dircetions. we head to the Oneida Castle, past the church and down Classic Street. we make a left and sure enough we pass the flood and we are-once again-on our way to the casino. at this point in the trip we all were filled with a new hope and life. we figured that after all this we had to make it to the casino now. we follow the directions the construction worker gave us. we take I46 all the way up and we see the sign for Verona...the town the casino is in!!!!!! we were all going nuts in the car screaming and dancing, yes dancing in the car lol. we stop for more directions at a gas station...about the 6th one we went into looking for directions. we are driving around the town of Verona, looking for this casino. we turn a corner and danny shouts out "Turning Stone!!! RV Park" we got so excited and then he was like "ohh oops...it said turing and stone in the same sentence and i thought it was the casino" lol. we can feel that we are getting closer and closer with each passing minuet. then i scream "THERE IT IS!!!!!!" and we see a huge tower with Turing Stone Casino in bright purple neon lights. we finally made we were there. it was all over. we asked a guy where the Inn was, which was where we were staying and he told us to go down to the thrid light and make a left by the giant cow and we were there!!!!!! so we pass the big cow and we make it. we check into our rooms and just crash onto the beds. at that time it was passed 8 o'clock! we were on the road traveling for over 11 hours. it was the longest car ride of my life. so we rested at the hotel for an hour and then headed to the casino for some gambling. so we played poker until like 1 or 2 in the morning and went back to the hotel. we slept til 9 and had breakfast. at 10 we headed to the casino and regestered for the tournament they were having at 12. so we just hunngout til 12 and the tourny stated. there were 68 people and prizes to the top 7 players. me, danny, steve and carmine were all at different tables so we had a better chance of one of us making it to the final table. the one person left at their table made it to the final table. carmine was heads up at his table and if he won he would go to the final table, the same thing went for me...unfortunatle carmine busted out in 9th place and i lost in 8th, one away from making the money!!!! i finsihed 8th out of 68 people in my first casino tournament. after that we headed back to the hotel and napped til 9 and went back to the casino. we played poker til 4 in the morning, i ended up winning over $100 so i was happy. so we went to bed and woke up at 10 and checked out at 11. went back to the casino, but everyone lost money except me and they didnt wanna play, so i wasnt gonna make them wait for mw while i played so we left around 12. hit the road at 12:15 and we were on our way. before we left we checked if anything was flooded, but we were all clear. so we were on I87 and all of a sudden the state troopers pull steve over. he says we were going 95mph in a 65 zone, but at most we were going 80-85. so they gave steve a ticket and that kinda killed the mood for a bit. but we eventually started laughing about things again, talking about hands we had and how we played them, the bad beats we took and what not. we got home at 6 o'clock and steve dropped everyone off at their house ending a long, but fun trip!!!!!!! | | |
| - Ex's and Oh's sorry its been awhile since i updated this thing. not like anyone reads it anyways, but whatever, im a dork and i still update it lol. last week was so awesome. i only went to school for monday, tuesday, and wed. cause on thursday//friday//staurday//sunday i went to ALABAMA with my sister to see my brother, aunt, uncle and cousins. i was so excited to see my little bro. i havent seen him since he had to move there at the end of june which was like 9 months ago. i missed him so much, and im so glad got a few days to be with him. we had so much fun, hanging out, playing video games, watching movies//TV, skate boarding and stuff like that. i was so elated to see him, it was so much fun!!!!!! i was sad when i had to leave, but i just hope that he's doing good. all this week i've hungout with my one and only...AMANDA cause i didnt see her for all the days i was away. yesterday was such a fun day, i love days like that. i didnt have school so i got to see her nice and early. we went to see THE HILLS HAVE EYES, what a cool movie. it was really bloody and gorey, it was awesome lol. we went there at 3 and we were the only two people in the theater until two other people came, so it was a grad total of four people in the theater to see the movie lol. after the movie we walked back to her house, and had so many laughs, i love it when she makes me laugh. she makes me feel so special, I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!! then we had tacos at her house and just hungout. she is my everything, i would die without her in my life. i cant even express half of how i feel about her in words. my smile when im with her says it all...

| wow today was horrible, it sucked pretty much...i did nothing all day, i woke up...by myself, hungout at my house...by myself, went to work...by myself, came home//showered//ate...by myself. and now im here...by myself. yeh so dont bother talking to me cause im by myself, so yeh...bye | | |
| well today was very interesting!!!!! first off when i got to school i got drenched with water thanks to joe!!! he accidentally squirted me with his water bottle, good thing i was in a good mood and didnt get mad. lol im gonna get him back...when//where//how i still dont know, but be assured that i will get my revenge!! lol. then later on in the day, after second period im walkin to my locker when a teacher shouts out "watch where youre walking!" and points down and i see that some kid PUKED right infront of my locker!!!! i was so grossed out...i think i saw chuncks of turkey floating around in there lol. so yeh i couldnt go to my locker until like after lunch lol. so the school day finished out and i had to go to work, which was relle boring, but what ever. now im home with nothing to do. yeh i have no school tomorrow so thats a plus...i dont feel to good right now, my head//throat//whole body hurts...leave comments to make me feel better...thanks
